Nature in Balance - Eric Jacobson

Eric Jacobson's work explores the themes of balance, tension, and the contrast between the natural and man-made worlds. Through layered sculptures, Jacobson symbolizes the complexities of individual life histories and the inner versus outer aspects of the self. His art draws inspiration from spiritual motifs like mandalas, Constructivism, and nature, influenced by artists such as Calder, David Smith, and Mark Di Suvero.

Eric holds a BA in Art History from the New School and an MFA in sculpture from Pratt Institute. His art journey has included working with challenged students and individuals with Alzheimer's, as well as exhibiting in NYC and upstate New York. Notably, his sculpture "Nature in Balance" is part of a long-term installation in Peekskill, NY.
