Billboard (Waterworks) - Job Koelewijn

Job Koelewijn’s installation "Billboard (Waterworks)," located at Annesville Preserve, frames the breathtaking Hudson Valley landscape, echoing the spirit of the Hudson River School. From 2009 this work features a billboard-like structure that captures the scenic views of Bear Mountain and Peekskill Palisade. Water from the Hudson River flows through the sculpture, creating a cascading veil visible to both local viewers and Metro North commuters. Although water circulation occurs only on special occasions due to conservation regulations, the installation otherwise serves as a dynamic 'living billboard.'

Note: this artwork has not been functional as a water curtain for a long time.
